Youth Empowerment & Innovation Program (Global — YEIP)
Goal:
To equip young professionals with digital, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills to improve employability and promote sustainable local innovation.
Conditions of Eligibility
General Requirements (apply to this program)
- Must be between 18 - 25 years old at the time of application
- Demonstrated commitment to community service, leadership, or social impact
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, French, or the primary language of the program
- Willingness to participate actively in training, mentorship, and follow-up activities.
- Not a citizen/resident of a country located in Africa and/ or the Middle East.
YEIP — Global
Program Structure
1. Digital Skills Academy
- Training in IT basics, coding, digital marketing, and AI awareness.
- Partnerships with tech companies
- Online and in-person hybrid format.
2. Entrepreneurship & Innovation Labs
- 3–6 month incubation for youth-led startups.
- Mentorship from local business leaders.
- Microgrants or seed funding for the best projects.
3. Community Impact Projects
- Each participant designs a small project addressing a local challenge (e.g. clean water, sustainable farming, education access).
- Top projects receive NGO or corporate backing for scaling.
4. Leadership & Soft Skills Development
- Workshops on communication, teamwork, ethical leadership, and civic engagement.
- Gender-inclusive design with at least 50% female participation.
