About the Role
We are looking for a Communications Assistant Intern to join our passionate team and help us tell the stories that matter most.
As part of our Communications Department, you’ll assist in crafting engaging content, managing digital platforms, and amplifying our mission to audiences worldwide.
This is a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful change while building your skills in nonprofit communications and media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in creating and editing content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and the foundation’s website.
- Help manage social media accounts and track engagement.
- Coordinate with program teams to gather impact stories, photos, and updates.
- Assist in organizing events, media coverage, and outreach activities.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications materials.
What We’re Looking For
- Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English (additional African or international languages are a plus).
- Creativity, curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Suite, Buffer, etc.) is an asset.
- Passion for humanitarian work, development, and community empowerment.
