Our Purpose of Existence
In 2018, HRH Princess Rachel Belle articulated a vision that continues to guide and inspire our mission today:
“ Poverty is the only illness that cannot be diagnosed by doctors but that financial institutions can and should treat. I am obligated to serve and help build a stronger Africa. Intelligent infrastructure is the key driver of futuristic industrialisation and economic growth on Earth, our home planet. As part of our efforts to promote industrialisation, we must involve Africa.”
Her Royal Highness Belle has long invested across diverse industries, geographical regions, and frontier sectors both on Earth and beyond. The investment entities through which she and her partners operate follow rigorous criteria typical of leading global financial institutions. These efforts have strengthened companies, transformed industries, and fueled innovation across Earth and beyond. Yet along this journey, one truth became undeniable: the communities most in need of economic opportunity are often the least likely to receive it.
Marginalized individuals (many of whom are deeply entrepreneurial) rarely meet the requirements of traditional investment entities. Their ideas are strong, their work ethic undeniable, yet the doors of opportunity seldom open for them.
In many developing countries, social welfare systems are either limited or entirely absent. Governments frequently lack sufficient resources to provide sustainable support structures. Consequently, individuals without formal employment often turn to unconventional forms of work (small-scale, informal, and unregistered business activities) to survive. This reality is widespread and reflected in global statistics:
- Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia: Over 80% of workers rely on informal, unregistered, or precarious small enterprises for income.
- Middle East: More than half of all employment is informal.
- Latin America: Over 50% of workers operate in the informal sector, with many households dependent entirely on informal earnings.
In these regions, unemployment often leads directly to hardship, as there is no welfare system to cushion the impact. Despite these challenges, we have observed remarkable resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit within these communities.
Our foundation exists to fulfill a commitment first articulated by HRH Princess Belle in 2018: to help build a stronger, more inclusive Africa and to ensure that the benefits of industrialisation and economic progress reach those who need them most.
HRH PRINCESS BELLE RACHEL FOUNDATION has been receiving a significant number of business plans from individuals operating in the informal sector. Upon review and after implementation, we have confirmed that many of these proposals are viable, practical, and scalable within a relatively short period of time. This discovery is both encouraging and compelling.
In response, HRH PRINCESS BELLE RACHEL FOUNDATION has intensified its commitment to identifying, supporting, and developing entrepreneurs who have historically been overlooked by traditional financial institutions. By providing capacity-building, mentorship, and access to funding, we aim to help informal entrepreneurs transition into registered, sustainable small businesses capable of creating jobs and stimulating local economies. The HRH PRINCESS BELLE RACHEL FOUNDATION operates directly and indirectly across all African and Middle Eastern nations, while rapidly expanding its reach throughout Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and North America.
We believe that inclusive industrialisation requires the participation of all people; especially those who have been excluded from formal economic opportunities. Empowering these individuals is not only an investment in their future, but also in the long-term social and economic stability of their communities.
